About Save the Ocean Club (STOC)

Save the Ocean Club is a student-led organization committed to ocean advocacy, sustainability, and environmental justice. Founded at Vista Murrieta High School in 2023, our goal is to educate, inspire, and take action to protect marine ecosystems.

What We Do:

Host beach and campus cleanups
Bring awareness to environmental issues
Share educational blog posts and resources
Collaborate with local nonprofits and participate in ocean-related events
Empower youth to create real-world change

Why It Matters:

Every year, over 8 million tons of plastic enter our oceans. Pollution, overfishing, and climate change threaten marine life and coastal communities. We believe students have the power to make a difference—starting right here, right now.
